Qualifications

• Standard high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with cleaning, floor and restroom care, and equipment maintenance preferred.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds and work from ladders or scaffolding.
• Able to follow written and oral instructions and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Accept direction from Head Custodian, Supervisor, or Administrator.
• Perform custodial and preventative maintenance duties in all locations of the District.
• Clean woodwork, walls, furniture, and windows using approved equipment and cleaning products.
• Mop, scrub, strip, wax, shampoo, vacuum, and spot-clean carpeting and floors with appropriate equipment.
• Climb and clean multilevel stairwells; use ladders or steps as needed.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment when handling cleaners.
• Move furnishings for meetings and events and operate basic tools and equipment.
