Job summary

Warsaw R-IX School District Central Office in Warsaw, Missouri is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain clean and safe facilities for students and staff. This full-time position requires performing cleaning tasks, basic repairs, and ensuring doors and windows are secure throughout shifts.

Starting immediately, the role involves lifting and moving heavy objects, operating cleaning equipment, and supporting summer maintenance projects.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
Ability to perform the essential job functions.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift 55 pounds occasionally.
Ability to push / pull a minimum of 20 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

Perform major cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, wet-mopping, sweeping and disinfecting areas.
Clean restrooms and fixtures, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
Wash windows and sills; maintain cleanliness of occupied spaces.
Replace light bulbs, refill dispensers, and set up facilities for use.
Make minor building repairs and report major repairs to Head Custodian.
Work overtime and on weekends as necessary to meet district events.
Ensure all doors/windows are locked and secure.
Navigate stairs, bending, and standing as required in daily shifts.
Assist in summer cleaning and maintenance projects.
Pull weeds and remove rubbish; snow removal and ice melt application in winter.
