Job summary

Minidoka County School District #331 is seeking a Custodian in Rupert, Idaho to provide a clean, safe and welcoming learning environment. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and supports the Maintenance/Custodial department in daily building operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to read operating instructions and write reports, with aptitude for completing tasks. This is a hands-on, essential site position in a school district.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read basic operating instructions and write reports.
• Demonstrate aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned.
• Possession of Idaho Driver's License and insurability per district policy.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings and major equipment.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Assist in snow removal.
• Complete requisitions and receive supplies and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
• Layout and schedule work for other custodians.
• Ensure security and fire safety of the building.
• Monitor heating and cooling systems.
• Keep building and premises neat and clean.
• Perform light plumbing, electrical and sprinkler repairs.
• Maintain building safety program and train custodians on proper techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
