Job summary

HES Facilities seeks a Custodial Supervisor for Austin (Operations) to oversee daily cleaning and facilities teams across campuses. You will coordinate staffing, supervise supervisors and custodians, and ensure high standards of cleanliness.

This full-time role involves payroll, training, event setup, purchasing, and reporting. Weekend and night coverage may be required; a High School Diploma is required and five years of facilities management experience is desired.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Five years facilities management experience in commercial real-estate, institutional or academic setting.
• Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures related to facilities management and personnel.
• Ability to monitor and control operational costs while maintaining high performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work of assistant supervisor and custodians.
• Manages a staff, inspects all assigned areas daily to ensure work is carried out properly and orderly.
• Prepares and submits work schedules; biweekly payroll.
• Evaluates performance of custodial personnel; prepares and submits disciplinary action and incident reports; counsels employees.
• Designates shift and area work assignments for custodians and lead personnel.
• Conducts training programs for custodians.
• Maintains records and correspondence.
• Submits purchase requisitions for supplies; maintains supply inventory and accounts; contacts vendors.
• Prepares reports on building conditions and progress.
