An established industry player is seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join their team at a renowned school for visually impaired students. This role involves developing and implementing innovative science curricula tailored to middle and high school students, ensuring that all instructional strategies meet diverse educational needs. This position is subject to NC G.S. 115-C and salary is dependent upon the education and experience of the selected candidate.
This is a 11-month position paid over 12 months.
Offering a $7500 sign on bonus, contingent upon availability of funds, for Skilled, Highly Qualified teachers. Skilled, Highly Qualified is defined as having obtained a NC DPI Certified Teaching license with VI (Visually Impaired) endorsement(s) (or eligible to be licensed) and as is applicable to the student population/classroom served.
The Governor Morehead School for the Blind (GMS) provides residential and day educational programs to blind and/or visually impaired students, ages five to 22 years. Governor Morehead School strives to offer specialized educational opportunities, community outreach, and an immersive environment for North Carolina students with visual impairments and additional disabilities. Through unique and expert instruction, GMS creates a dynamic and inclusive environment for students to reach their highest potential in developing knowledge, skills, confidence, and values that will support them as independent, life-long learners to contribute to our global society.
