IREDELL-STATESVILLE SCHOOLS is seeking a Plumbing Technician / Plumber to install, maintain, repair, and inspect plumbing systems across district facilities, ensuring safe, efficient operation in classrooms, gyms, and offices.

You will read blueprints, respond to emergencies, perform preventive maintenance, and uphold local, state, and federal plumbing codes. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman Plumber license required or preferred according to state regulations.
• Three (3) years of commercial or institutional plumbing experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass required background checks for employment in a school setting.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems in district facilities.
• Repair and replace plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, urinals, water fountains, faucets, and valves.
• Inspect systems to identify maintenance needs and prevent failures.
• Respond to emergency plumbing situations and leaks.
• Maintain and repair water heaters, pumps, and backflow devices.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
