Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a Plumber II to perform skilled plumbing work in installation, maintenance and repair of district systems. The role reports to the Maintenance & Operations Supervisor II and requires knowledge of plumbing codes, blueprint reading, and safe operation of plumbing tools.

The position is full-time, 12 months per year, with starting date immediately and an hourly wage around NC 13. Candidates must have a HS diploma and relevant technical training or experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all laws, policies and procedures.
• Maintain CMS plumbing systems per code requirements; collaborate with local agencies.
• Respond to sewer/pipe emergencies and inspect pumps and fixtures.
• Review drawings for new construction and renovations; install and repair plumbing systems.
