Job summary

Required are a Texas Journeyman Plumbing License, a Texas Driver License, and at least six years of general plumbing experience. The role includes emergency repairs and routine maintenance on multiple campuses.

Qualifications

• Accredited high school diploma or USA equivalency.
• Texas Journeyman Plumbing License.
• Texas Driver License with clean driving record for 7 years.
• Six years of experience in general plumbing installations and repairs.
• Ability to pass asbestos physical and obtain certification within 90 days.
• Knowledge of municipal plumbing codes.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings.
• Experience using plumbing tools to install, repair, and maintain fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair plumbing fixtures and pipes.
• Read blueprints and perform installations per codes.
• Locate and mark pipe exposure positions.
• Cut, thread, join pipes; solder as needed.
• Test for leaks using gauges and detectors.
• Respond to emergency call outs as assigned.
• Maintain and document work orders and purchase requests.
• Maintain district vehicles and tools.
• Work on multi-story campus sites.
• Comply with safety policies and district procedures.
