Job summary

Responsibilities include processing semi-monthly payrolls, payroll taxes, and related payments, maintaining confidential records, and supporting annual audits. This is a full-time position based in Columbia, TN.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four year high school with bookkeeping or accounting coursework.
• Thorough experience in governmental accounting and payroll operations.
• Experience with Skyward, Concord & Empower accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and processes semi-monthly payrolls for certified and substitute employees.
• Pays payroll taxes, child support, and garnishments in a timely manner.
• Maintains payroll records, assists audits, and closes year-end payroll activities.
• Manages budget spreadsheets, Skyward entries and related payroll calculations.
