Job summary

Brevard Public Schools is hiring a Fund Accountant for the ACCESS Project in Melbourne, Florida. You will review, monitor, and maintain accounting records for the district’s funds and prepare monthly financial reports while keeping ledgers up to date.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in business, finance, or a related field, plus several years of accounting experience; a Florida driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field is required.
• An associate degree with four or more years of progressively responsible work experience is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with seven years of progressively responsible work experience is required.
• Must be able to operate a computer and standard office equipment.
• Preferred: governmental accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, monitoring, and maintaining accounting records for the district’s funds.
• Prepare the District’s financial reports and maintain ledgers monthly.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Finance/related fields

Associate's Degree + 4 years relevant experience

High School Diploma + 7 years progressive experience
