Aging Matters in Brevard is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting seniors on Florida’s Space Coast with independence, health, safety, companionship, and quality of life. The organization offers a broad range of services, including senior home care, home improvements, and caregiver support. Each year, Aging Matters in Brevard prepares and delivers hundreds of thousands of nutritious meals through Meals on Wheels volunteers and Seniors at Lunch dining sites. With a strong volunteer base and community support, the organization provides essential services that help older adults age with dignity and security.
The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Cocoa, FL. This position is responsible for managing the organization’s day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, project budgets, monthly reconciliations, grant management. The Senior Accountant prepares financial statements, budget reports, and grant-related financial documentation, ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, 2 CFR Part 200, and relevant regulations. The role includes grant billing, collections, and reporting,and grant data monitoring, assisting with annual audits, maintaining internal controls, and providing financial insights to the CFO to support decision-making. The Senior Accountant collaborates with program staff and management to ensure accurate reporting and stewardship of grant and contracted organizational resources.
