Requirements include a Bachelor's in business/finance, preferably a Master’s, CPA a plus, at least five years of accounting experience in education or public finance, and proven supervisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field required;
• Master’s Degree Preferred
• CPA certification an added plus
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience in accounting, as a CPA or in a school finance/business office
• High level of computer skills, including experience with accounting software and spreadsheets

Responsabilités

• Develops a strategic plan for fiscal accountability and requirements to adequately meet the budgetary needs of the Interlocal.
• Oversee accounts payable and payroll functions of the Interlocal.
• Oversee employee benefits and Cafeteria 125 plans.
• Supervise the management of the financial affairs of the schools.
• Reconcile all district bank accounts.
• Work collaboratively with the Director in budget development and long-range financial planning including negotiations.
• Assist in administering the annual budget to ensure efficient operation of the Interlocal.
• Act as general accountant of the board and preserve all financial accounts and contracts relating to the Interlocal.
• Prepare state and federal financial reports and ensure that all business activities conform to district, state and federal guidelines.
