Job summary

The Chillicothe City School District is seeking an Electrician on a 12-month contract to maintain and repair district electrical systems in occupied school facilities. Under limited supervision, you will read blueprints, install and troubleshoot circuits, maintain emergency lighting and building automation, and ensure NEC/OSHA compliance while coordinating with staff, contractors, and inspectors.

Qualified candidates will have a journeyman license, a high school diploma or GED, strong

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Seven years electrical experience preferred or equivalent.
Journeyman license or equivalent.
Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and local codes.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
Strong communication with staff, vendors, inspectors.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Proficient with computers and work-order systems.
Satisfactory work record and dependability.

Responsibilities

Analyze circuits and diagrams to install, troubleshoot, or repair electrical systems.
Install, maintain, test, and repair panels, lighting, motors, and controls.
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections of district electrical equipment.
Respond to electrical failures and safety hazards, may require after-hours work.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of work performed.
