Job summary

Elior Independent School Dining seeks a food service director to lead the Independent School Dining team in Hamburg, managing all aspects of the department to ensure students, faculty and guests are served with quality and efficiency.

You will oversee hiring, training, safety compliance, budgeting, and coordination with district leadership, while maintaining excellent communication with staff and executives in a fast-paced school dining environment.

Qualifications

• At least four years coordinating food service operations.
• Experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication with hourly staff and executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client satisfaction.
• Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensure staff meet culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budget the department; purchase ingredients and meet targets and forecasts.
• Coordinate with district manager on technical and administrative dining service aspects.
