Job summary

Elior School Dining is seeking a motivated food service director to lead a team in the Ft. Lauderdale area. You will manage all aspects of the dining program for students, faculty, and clients, ensuring compliance with safety and culinary standards while controlling budget and procurement.

The role requires coordinating staff, hiring and training, and communicating with executives to meet targets and deliver quality service in a school dining setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years coordinating food service operations.
• Experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication with hourly staff and executives.
• Ability to manage a diverse environment focused on client satisfaction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Managing all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensuring that staff meet culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budgeting for the department, including directly purchasing ingredients and ensuring targets are met.
• Consulting with the district manager or other departments regarding dining service.
• Addressing customer service needs.
