Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a Custodian for the Alton School District (Custodian-5088). The role involves cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to meet district standards while following safety procedures and client requirements.

You will work independently, be flexible to seasonal needs, and support summer/winter duties as assigned. The position offers benefits and daily pay options through HES.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience required.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Follow basic safety procedures due to hazards and chemicals.
• Ability to train new hires.
• Friendly, efficient, positive demeanor with guests and co-workers.
• Adaptable to client needs.
• May involve lifting, bending, pushing, standing for long periods and PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains assigned areas to meet client standards.
• Adheres to safety procedures and regulations (OSHA/state/federal).
• Maintains and operates housekeeping equipment.
• Reports maintenance concerns via work orders.
• Secures the facility and protects company assets.
• Performs seasonal duties (summer projects, winter ice/snow removal).
