Job summary

Alpine School District is seeking a Custodian - Sweeper to provide limited custodial services at an assigned site, ensuring a clean, safe environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years old.
• Performs cleaning and limited custodial tasks.
• Physically able to perform duties including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assists with site snow removal to ensure safe access for students, staff and visitors.
• Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds to maintain a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.
• Prepares site for daily operations (opening gates, raising flags, sweeping walkways) to ensure facilities are operational and hazard-free.
• Replenishes classroom and rest room supplies to ensure adequate quantities for daily use.
• Secures facilities and grounds (doors, gates, alarms, lights) to minimize damage and liability.
• Supports maintenance staff for completing custodial activities.
• Performs other related duties to ensure efficient functioning of the work unit.
