Job summary

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a CDL Bus license and drive a bus when called upon to do so.

Responsibilities

• Performs recurring tasks under direct supervision in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules.
• Changes in work methods or procedures are specified by a supervisor and work is reviewed to ensure cleanliness standards.
• Performs lighter manual tasks in stripping, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, spray buffing in school buildings; dusts and rearranges furniture.
• Washes windows, window sills, woodwork; vacuums carpets; spot cleans carpets and walls; cleans light fixtures, etc.
• Cleans restrooms, fixtures; replenishes tissue, towel and soap containers; replaces light bulbs and fluorescent tubes; empties waste receptacles.
• Reports to supervisor any damages or need for repairs.
• Performs other related work such as cleaning sidewalks and grounds.
• Possesses responsibility for grass cutting and edging; cares for shrubbery on campus.
• Attends seminars and completes training activities to improve performance.
• Maintains CDL bus license and completes pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
