Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work effectively with other people.
• Ability to read and write.
• General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• General knowledge of school heating system operation and maintenance.
• Possess physical strength sufficient to perform assigned duties.
• Must obtain and maintain a CDL Bus license and drive a bus when called upon to do so.

Responsibilities

• Performs recurring tasks under direct supervision in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules.
• Changes in work methods or procedures are indicated by a supervisor and work is reviewed for cleanliness.
• Performs heavier cleaning tasks such as stripping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and spray buffing.
• Washes windows, vacuums carpets, and cleans fixtures and restrooms.
• Replaces supplies and reports damages or repairs as needed.
• Drives a bus when requested and maintains route schedules.
