Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

• General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• General knowledge of school heating system operation and maintenance.
• Possess physical strength sufficient to perform assigned duties.
• Must obtain and maintain a CDL Bus license and drive a bus when called upon to do so.

Responsibilities

• Performs recurring tasks under direct supervision in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules.
• Changes in work methods or procedures are indicated by a supervisor and work is reviewed through inspection.
• Performs heavier cleaning tasks in school buildings and moves furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Washes windows, vacuums carpets, cleans light fixtures, and general sanitation duties.
• Cleans restrooms, replenishes supplies, and maintains cleanliness throughout the building.
• Reports damages or need for repairs to supervisor.
• Performs duties such as grass cutting and grounds care as assigned.
• Attends seminars/workshops to improve job efficiency and skills.
• Obtains and maintains CDL bus license and drives bus when required.
