Job summary

ServiceFM (SFM) is seeking a dependable Custodian to perform general cleaning and floor care in a Brentwood educational facility. This role supports a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, faculty, and visitors, with evening hours and a family-oriented team.

You will sweep, mop, dust, and empty trash, assist with event setups, and follow safety and cleaning standards. The position offers 25 hours per week, $17 per hour, and benefits including an incentive bonus and referral program.

Qualifications

• Must successfully pass fingerprint-based criminal background check for school employment
• Ability to perform physical work: walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic smartphone or computer skills to record work hours accurately
• Ability to work in a smoke-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free environment

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas
• Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and dry mop floors
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
• Clean windows, doors, and other interior surfaces
• Remove debris from building entrances and surrounding grounds
• Set up and break down tables, chairs, and furniture for school events
• Perform periodic floor care and carpet maintenance during school breaks
• Perform porter duties, including moving boxes, furniture, and supplies, and complete other assigned tasks as needed
• Follow company safety procedures, cleaning standards, and quality expectations
