ServiceFM (SFM) is seeking a dependable Custodian to perform general cleaning and floor care at a Nashville educational facility. The role supports daily operations and contributes to a clean, safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

The position involves cleaning classrooms and common areas, setting up for events, and periodic floor/carpet maintenance. The schedule is 20+ hours per week, Monday–Friday, 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., with occasional extra hours for events.

Qualifications

• Fingerprint background check required for school employment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks: walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling.
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic smartphone or computer skills to record work hours.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and dry mop floors.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Clean windows, doors, and interior surfaces.
• Remove debris from building entrances and grounds.
• Set up and break down tables, chairs, and furniture for school events.
• Perform periodic floor care and carpet maintenance during school breaks.
• Perform porter duties, including moving boxes, furniture, and supplies.
• Follow company safety procedures, cleaning standards, and quality expectations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Custodians to perform general cleaning and floor care at an educational facility in Nashville, TN, in the vicinity of Foster Lane and Murfreesboro Pike. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors while supporting the daily operations of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and dry mop floors.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean windows, doors, and other interior surfaces.
• Remove debris from building entrances and surrounding grounds.
• Set up and break down tables, chairs, and furniture for school events.
• Perform periodic floor care and carpet maintenance during school breaks.
• Perform porter duties, including moving boxes, furniture, and supplies, and completing other assigned tasks as needed.
• Follow company safety procedures, cleaning standards, and quality expectations.

Work schedule:

• 20+ hours per week.
• Monday-Friday, 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 pm
• Occasional opportunities for additional hours, including evening and weekend work, may be available to support special events throughout the year.

Requirements
