Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Must maintain bus driver qualification and appropriate bus driver certification per State Board of Education.

Responsibilities

• Follow all rules, policies and procedures of Wayne County Public Schools, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Scrub, dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, wax and polish floors in rooms, hallways and closets.
• Wash windows, blinds, woodwork, walls and other surfaces.
• Scrub and clean restrooms; replenish tissue, towels, soap as needed.
• Empty wastebaskets and other trash receptacles; move equipment or furniture as directed.
• Lock/unlock buildings and secure premises at night; report damages.
• Maintain supplies on site and assist in minor repairs.
• Clean and adjust heating/AC equipment; change filters.
• Keep walkways free of ice/snow and hazards; participate in trainings.
• Perform other cleaning/maintenance tasks as requested by the Principal or Department Administrator.
