Job summary

Wayne County Public Schools is seeking a Custodian/Bus Driver to perform cleaning and minor maintenance tasks per an established schedule. The role includes bus driving duties as required by the principal and maintaining required bus certifications.

Starting pay is Grade 55, with a range of $16.07 to $20.17 per hour. Employment is ten or twelve months, at-will and non-exempt under FLSA, with duties overseen by the school administration and facilities department.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Must maintain bus driver certification as required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Follow all district rules, policies and procedures, and state/federal regulations.
• Clean and maintain floors, windows, restrooms, and surfaces as scheduled.
• Replenish supplies in restrooms, kitchens and classrooms.
• Move equipment and minor repairs as directed by supervisor.
• Report damages and secure buildings as needed.
• Maintain safe walkways and report hazards.
