Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of District Crossing Guard Training Program prior to performing duties.
• Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona IVP FPCC.

Responsibilities

• Directs, monitors, and assists students and community members to cross at established crosswalks and school zones.
• Alerts motorists to the presence of students and community by displaying signs and stopping traffic.
• Maintains discipline by monitoring student behavior and following district policies; monitors reading/mathematics progress as applicable.
• Places and removes signs for crosswalks per operating agreement; wears reflective clothing while duties are performed.
• Attends district and school safety trainings and meetings; performs other duties as required.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
