Job summary

Washington Elementary School District in Glendale, Arizona is seeking a Crossing Guard to help ensure student safety at crosswalks and school zones. Under general supervision, you will direct and monitor pedestrians, alert motorists, and maintain discipline as needed to keep children safe.

This part-time role requires completion of the District Crossing Guard Training Program and a valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Qualifications

• Completion of District Crossing Guard Training Program prior to performing crossing guard duties.
• Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (AZ IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Direct, monitor, and assist students and community members to cross at established crosswalks and school zones.
• Alert motorists to the presence of students and community by displaying signs and stopping traffic.
• Maintain discipline by monitoring student behavior and following district policies.
• Place and remove signs for school zones; wear reflective clothing during duties.
• Attend safety trainings and stay updated on district procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
