Job summary

Red Bank Catholic High School is seeking a School Counselor/SAC to support students’ emotional, social, and academic growth through counseling, advising, and coordination of prevention programs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with staff, families, and community partners to promote a safe school environment and student success. Ten-month position with benefits and a salary range of $55,000–$70,000, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in School Counseling; related fields encouraged.
• Valid state certification or licensure as a School Counselor and SAC or on track to complete SAC certification.
• Strong understanding of substance abuse prevention, intervention strategies, and related counseling services.
• Experience in academic and career advising, as well as crisis intervention and student support.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school personnel, students, parents, and community partners.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Freshmen Moderators to develop freshmen activities.
• Provide individual and group counseling addressing academic, social, and emotional concerns.
• Assist students in evaluating aptitudes and developing educational and career plans.
• Assist with college and career planning, including SAT/ACT/AP Prep and applications.
• Communicate regularly with parents to support students’ growth and well-being.
