Job summary

Saint James Elementary School in Red Bank, New Jersey, seeks a compassionate K–8 School Counselor to support the academic, social-emotional, and spiritual development of students within a faith-based Catholic framework.

The role is part-time (two days per week) with flexible scheduling. Responsibilities include counseling, classroom guidance, and collaboration with staff to address bullying and promote character education in a faith-filled environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting, preferably in grades K–8.
• Background check, fingerprinting, Virtus training required.

Position Summary:

As a valued member of our school community, the School Counselor will provide comprehensive counseling services that support the academic, social-emotional, and spiritual development of our students. The counselor will work collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and administration to foster a safe, caring, and faith-filled learning environment rooted in Catholic values.

This is a part-time position (two days per week). The work schedule is flexible, and the selected candidate may choose which two weekdays to work.
