The Little Village Schoolhouse in Cranston, RI is seeking a school lunch cook to prepare up to 60 lunches daily and follow the school lunch calendar.

You will clean the kitchen, store prepared food, and serve meals to students during lunch periods while observing all food handling guidelines to prevent illness. Shift runs from 9:00 to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a full-year program.

Job description

Here at the Little Village we serve our students breakfast, lunch and snack. This is a state run program which has strict guidelines. We are looking for one cook that can make up to 60 lunches and follow the school lunch calendar. This individual will also have to clean the kitchen, organize and follow all the protocols that the food program assigns. Store prepared food, and serve food to students during meal times. Clean kitchen and working areas at beginning and end of shifts, and throughout the day. Ensure food preparation and handling guidelines are observed to prevent foodborne illness. We are looking for our cook to start their day at 9/9:30am and end at 1/1:30pm.

This is a full year job as we do have a Summer Program.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
