Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a PRN Substitute CNA Classroom Assistant to support students with medical and personal-care needs in a school setting. You will work alongside school staff to help students participate safely and comfortably throughout the day.

Responsibilities include assistive care, transfers, feeding, and daily activities while following individualized care plans. Must have CNA and CPR, be compassionate, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Experience assisting individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs preferred.
• Comfortable providing toileting, feeding, mobility and transfer assistance.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and able to work effectively in a classroom.
• Must complete all required background checks and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with feedings by mouth.
• Provide toileting and personal-care assistance.
• Assist with safe transfers to wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
• Support students with daily activities in the classroom.
• Follow each student’s established care plan and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, nurses, and other school staff.
• Maintain students’ dignity, safety, and privacy.
