Job summary
Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA) is seeking a licensed registered nurse to join the school clinic team. You will provide day‑to‑day health services to students and staff and coordinate care for acute and chronic health needs.
The role requires a nursing degree, Ohio license, and at least three years of clinical nursing experience. You will help maintain immunization records, write referrals, and promote healthy habits within a faith‑based educational environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Nursing and a valid national certification.
- Current and valid license from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of three years in nursing/medical experience.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate CVCA mission alignment and expectations.
- Provide basic health services to students during the school day.
- Screen, refer and coordinate care for health needs.
- Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses.
- Educate students and staff on healthy habits and hygiene.
- Identify health issues early through screenings.
- Maintain vaccination records and medical history.
- Ensure a safe school health environment and infection control.
- Write referrals to pediatricians and health specialists.
- Ensure compliance with health laws locally and nationally.
