Job summary

Covenant College is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide campus health services for students, faculty, and staff. The RN conducts intake, tests, medication administration, and safety planning under the supervision of the Family Nurse Practitioner.

Responsibilities include patient education, urgent care response, and coordination with outside clinics. Requires GA RN license, CPR, and EMR proficiency; on-site role with typical campus hours.

Qualifications

• A valid, current Georgia license as a Registered Nurse.
• Two years of recent experience in a hospital, clinic, or physician's practice.
• CPR certification with the American Heart Association.
• Understand OSHA Regulations for Bloodborne Pathogens.
• Commitment to serving patients with diverse backgrounds and needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other college departments.
• Ability to handle confidential matters.
• Proficient computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Performs intake measures of students, faculty, and staff seeking health services.
• Evaluates and recommends OTC medications per policy.
• Collaborates with the FNP and refers as needed.
• Assists FNP during exams and onsite tests; collects specimens and completes lab orders.
• Administers medications and assists with prescription calls.
• Educates patients to understand conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Responds to urgent needs on campus and coordinates with outside care when needed.
• Assists with health education programs and campus wellness activities.
• Maintains OSHA bloodborne pathogen compliance and health records.
