Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA) is seeking a licensed registered nurse to join the school clinic team. You will provide day‑to‑day health services to students and staff and coordinate care for acute and chronic health needs.

The role requires a nursing degree, Ohio license, and at least three years of clinical nursing experience. You will help maintain immunization records, write referrals, and promote healthy habits within a faith‑based educational environment.

Qualifications

Job Summary

This position serves as part of the clinic team that provides health and medical services during the school day to our students and staff.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Demonstrate behavior aligned with CVCA’s mission statement, statement of faith, core values, policies and expectations
• Conducting screenings and writing referrals for health care services
• Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness
• Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities
• Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene
• Detect health problems in early stages through regular screenings
• Keep track of students’ vaccination records
• Update students’ medical history
• Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)
• Write referrals for pediatricians and other health specialists
• Ensure compliance with national and local health laws
