Job summary

Springboro Community City Schools in Springboro, Ohio, seeks a Clinic Nurse for Clearcreek Elementary (second semester start). Under the supervision of the Building Principal, the nurse coordinates health services, cares for ill and injured students, maintains health records, and supports IEP meetings to promote a healthy educational environment.

Essential duties include health screenings, record maintenance, first aid and medication administration, health program advisement, and collaboration

Qualifications

• RN license is required to practice in school settings.
• BSN degree is preferred but not required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required or preferred.
• A valid Ohio driver's license is needed.
• Applicant must pass a criminal background check.
• Prior school experience is preferred.
• Alternatives to listed qualifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct school health services and programs.
• Care for ill and injured students and staff during the school day.
• Maintain health records and assist with IEPs and team meetings.
• Assist with implementation of health services to support education.
• Conduct health screenings as required.
• Maintain up-to-date health records for students and staff.
• Administer first aid according to accepted procedures.
• Advise on health-related modifications to education plans.
• Assist with reports for district, state and agencies.
• Coordinate with the Warren County Board of Health on disease prevention.
• Administer medications as ordered by licensed professionals.
• Maintain required health certificates and confidentiality.
• Supervise unlicensed personnel assisting with health-related tasks.
