Job summary

Aspris is seeking a Chef/Head Cook for a school serving autistic children and young people. You will plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals, lead a small catering team, and manage stock and compliance with health and safety standards.

The role requires Level 2 Food, Level 3 Supervising Food Safety in Catering, and a valid Food Hygiene certificate. Training will be provided on Aspris systems and procedures. This is a site-based role at Coxlease in the New Forest region.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Certificate in Food is required.
• Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering is required.
• A valid Food Hygiene certificate is required.
• Training on Aspris systems and procedures will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and cook fresh, well-balanced meals for pupils and staff.
• Collaborate with education staff to develop menus accommodating dietary restrictions.
• Ensure meals comply with food safety regulations and best practices.
• Maintain stock levels and accurate records for health and safety.
• Foster a positive dining experience and inclusive atmosphere during meals.
