Job summary

Joseph F. DiPietro Elementary School in Bellingham is hiring a Cafeteria (Non-Union) worker to bake, cook and prepare a variety of meals for breakfast and lunch under the supervision of the School Nutrition Director and Lead Cook.

The position offers $20.76 per hour with a schedule of 3.0 hours per day and requires lifting up to 50 pounds, basic math skills, and adherence to HACCP food-safety standards; duties include prep, cooking, cashiering and stock/cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold entrees and other items for breakfast and lunch as directed by Lead Cook or SND.
• Use equipment including buffalo chopper, shredder, deli slicer, ovens, steamers and kettles.
• Keep work stations and equipment clean and sanitary per HACCP standards; wipe cafeteria tables.
• Balance cash drawer and adhere to POS system procedures.
• Stock food, beverages and paper items; serve lunches in proper portions.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform other duties as assigned.
