Job summary

Qualifications

• Preferred 5 years of Food Service Experience.
• High ethical standards required.
• Knowledge of HACCP, USDA and PDE regulations.
• Planning and organization skills.
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet navigation.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and community.
• Strong communication and human relations skills.
• Must have required clearances and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to dress code; keep neat and clean.
• Attend relevant meetings or training sessions.
• Report hazards to cafeteria manager.
• Foster positive relationships with staff and students.
• Know the menu; use proper utensils; follow recipes for portions.
• Assist in food prep and service according to production methods.
• Follow sanitation, safety procedures and HACCP checklists.
• Prepare and serve meals; ensure timely quantities.
• Assist with ordering and records; assist with balancing student accounts.
• Train on POS system and support cafeteria operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Cafeteria Manager and Food Service Director.
• Support in special school functions and safety/sanitation inspections.
