Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Experience in school food services preferred.
• Possess a valid driver’s license, motor vehicle insurance and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Follows the direction of the Cafeteria Manager.
• Oversees daily cafeteria and kitchen operation and corrects deficiencies as needed.
• Plans and organizes work to serve school meals and a la carte offerings.
• Directs the work of the school’s food service staff.
• Works effectively with staff and students.
• Follows menus prepared by the Child Nutrition Office and makes substitutions with approval.
• Oversees preparation of food for the school and for satellite sites.
• Operates and supervises kitchen equipment.
