Job summary

Responsibilities include maintaining food temperatures, inventory, cash register operations, reporting, and ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines for Child Nutrition Programs; requires reading/writing English and ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to operate institutional equipment and perform basic math.
• Experience with food service and cash handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and serving of menu items per guidelines.
• Monitor food temperatures during storage, prep, and service.
• Conduct inventory of food and supplies.
• Sanitize production areas and equipment per guidelines.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Dispose of waste properly and wash kitchen wares.
• Store foods and supplies in designated areas.
• Enter reimbursable meals and student meal counts in POS.
• Complete daily reports on meals served and money collected.
• Assist in cash deposits and maintain safety standards.
• Attend trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
