Job summary

Alpine School District is seeking a Nutrition Services Worker to prepare and serve food for students and staff at assigned locations. Responsibilities include maintaining sanitary facilities, assisting with meal preparation, and inventory control under supervision.

Requires 16+ age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs; no benefits for this non-contract role.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Job related experience is desired.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and push/pull up to 150 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Arranges food and beverages for serving to students and staff.
• Cleans utensils, equipment and serving areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Cooks and prepares food to meet nutritional requirements.
• Estimates and adjusts food quantities to minimize waste.
• Inspects items and supplies for quality and health standards.
• Maintains inventory of food, condiments, and equipment.
• Prepares breakfast and lunch items to meet meal requirements.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Performs other duties to ensure efficient operations.
