Job summary

Diocese of Harrisburg is seeking a Cafeteria Worker at St. Joan of Arc to prepare and serve nutritious meals for students, staff, and visitors. The role involves following standardized recipes, maintaining food safety, and operating the cafeteria line with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include planning daily production, managing supplies, and ensuring cleanliness. Prior experience in quantity food service and knowledge of Serv-Safe regulations are preferred for this non-exempt

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow oral and written directions and get along with others.
• Knowledge of all Serv-Safe regulations and health safety regulations in food service.
• Seek new recipes and food selections that comply with nutrition guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes and procedures.
• Plans food production for following days and places steam-table pans properly.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage, work, serving and cleaning areas.
• Maintains clean and orderly kitchen and dining areas.
• Accepts payment for food using cash register as directed by cafeteria manager.
