Qualifications

• Knowledge of current methods of food preparation, health codes and sanitation.
• Ability to serve appropriate portion sizes rapidly and neatly.
• Ability to operate point of service system.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and community.
• Initiative and ability to work under supervision and follow directions.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced working conditions.
• Ability to perform basic math computations and follow instructions.
• Washington State Food Handler’s Permit required.

Responsibilities

• Serve meal components to customers on service line.
• Prepare meals by following recipes, gathering ingredients and cooking materials.
• Monitor HACCP procedures and reheat items as needed.
• Assist in securing equipment and storing food and supplies.
• Assist with meal program records and ordering supplies.
• Wash dishes and maintain a sanitary work environment.
• Follow district policies and stay informed on updates.
