Job summary

Los Alamitos Unified School District is seeking a Food Service Supervisor at Oak Middle School to oversee the school cafeteria operations and snack bar, ensuring efficient meal preparation and proper handling of equipment.

The role requires supervising Food Service Assistants, coordinating food orders and inventory, maintaining records, and training staff. Work hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm, 40 hours weekly, 10 months per year, with a fringe benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education & experience: Graduation from high school and four years of progressively responsible food service experience, including two years in supervisory or lead roles.
• Must pass a food safety certification as required by the local Health Department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise the middle school and high school cafeteria operations and snack bar.
• Order, inventory and maintain records for food and supplies; supervise Food Service Assistants.
• Train, supervise and evaluate staff; ensure equipment cleanliness and safe operation.
