Job summary

Los Alamitos Unified School District is seeking a Campus Supervisor to patrol the school campus, enforce rules, and respond as a first responder to incidents. The role includes supervising students, assisting with welfare checks, and coordinating with staff and local authorities as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and completion of Security Officer Training within six months, plus a valid First Aid certificate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Certificate of Completion.
• Experience working with youth in an organized setting.
• Security Officer Training must be completed within six months of employment.
• Valid First Aid Certificate required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Patrol a school campus to ensure security and student safety; assist in enforcing attendance rules; report misuses and disturbances.
• Advise students regarding school rules and disciplinary policies; communicate consequences of violations to students.
• Utilize two-way radio to communicate with school office and other security personnel; drive a utility cart as needed.
• Unlock and lock gates, doors, lockers and facilities as directed.
• Monitor and report safety hazards; respond to incidents on campus; assist with welfare checks and home visits as needed.
• Direct traffic in school parking lots and assist crosswalk duties during drop-off/pick-up times.
