Job summary

Quest Food Management Services Llc is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker in Lyons Township, La Grange, IL for a school kitchen. The role involves preparing ingredients, assembling meals, serving students, and keeping a clean, safe workspace.

The ideal candidate is reliable and energetic, able to work in a fast-paced team. Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-1pm, following the Woodridge SD 68 school calendar, starting in August, with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous food service, restaurant, cafeteria experience preferred but not required
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required
• Serve Safe Certified or the ability to obtain certification upon hire
• Must pass federal background check
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English

Responsibilities

• Prepare fruits, vegetables, and other menu items according to standardized recipes and meal schedules
• Wash, cut, portion, cook, and package food products for distribution
• Assist with meal assembly and service to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
• Label, date, and store food products following food safety guidelines
• Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, steam tables, and knives
• Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift
• Follow HAACP procedures and document food temperatures as required
• Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory using FIFO procedures
• Support cooks with food preparation and other duties as assigned
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines
