Job summary

Washakie County School Dist 1 substitutes cooks to assist in preparing, cooking, and serving healthy meals in the school cafeteria. You will report to the Head Cook, building Principal, and Food Service Director, ensuring efficient, clean, and friendly service for students.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain it, and may need to travel between buildings. Prior cooking/food handling experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe Certification, or ability to obtain certification.
• May need to travel to multiple buildings - access to transportation required.
• Successful prior cooking and food handling a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals.
• Maintain records and paperwork.
• Dishwashing.
• Operate standard Commercial Kitchen equipment.
• Assist in food production, service and cleanup tasks.
• Receive and unpack food and supplies.
• Clean and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Participate in ongoing professional training.
