Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or currently enrolled in a GED program.
• Annual 4 hours of continuing education/training topics as determined by Food and Nutrition Service.
• Food handler certification required ( NM ).
• Certification must be valid for 3 years and renewed as required.

Responsibilities

• Follows district instructions in food preparation, cooling and serving in school cafeterias.
• Ensures sanitation standards are met and adheres to safety procedures.
• Performs duties under manager's instructions for portioning, garnishing and serving meals.
• Participates in cost containment while maintaining quality.
• Demonstrates ability to work with the school community.
