• Assist in instructing assistant cooks and student food services trainees in safe, hygienic method of preparing and serving meals.
• Ensure work area is safe, clean, and sanitary at all times.
• Prepare foods as directed for special Center functions and visitors.
• Assist in cleaning kitchen work areas and cafeteria following each meal.
• Ensure minimum waste through efficient storage, inventory, and food utilization.
• Help cook and serve meals, ensuring proper temperatures and proper chilling/storage of leftovers.
• Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.
