Midwest City - Del City School District is seeking a Cafeteria Assistant for the Parkview site in Oklahoma City, starting immediately. The role supports meal prep and serving for students within the district's Child Nutrition program, following all rules and safety guidelines.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to schedules and menus, and compliance with district cash controls and food cost targets. Prior foodservice experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or GED optional.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Foodservice related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

Responsibilities

• Follows time, task, and rotation schedules assigned by the supervisor.
• Performs cleaning, serving, cashiering, and dish room duties as assigned.
• Assists co-workers and supervisor if and when needed.
• Works cooperatively with all staff members of the Child Nutrition Department, Administration Office, District staff, students, parents and general public.
• Follow all Child Nutrition/District cash control procedures.
• Follows production menus and recipes to prepare quality products and control food cost.
• Ensures compliance with all Child Nutrition Department, District, local, state, and federal requirements, policies, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
• Additional duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor or above.
