Epperly Heights Elementary in Midwest City, Oklahoma is hiring a Cafeteria Assistant in the Child Nutrition department. The position supports meal preparation and serving for students, following district rules and food safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to compose and write grammatically correct correspondence and memos.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
• Foodservice related experience or training preferred

Responsibilities

• Follows time/task/rotation schedules assigned by the supervisor.
• Performs cleaning/serving/cashiering and dish room duties as assigned.
• Assist co-workers and supervisor if and when needed.
• Works cooperatively with all staff members of the Child Nutrition Department, Administration Office, District staff, students, and parents & general public.
• Follow all Child Nutrition/District cash control procedures.
• Follows production menus/recipes to prepare appropriate & quality products using correct weight and measures and control food cost.
• Ensure compliance with all Child Nutrition Department, District, local, state, federal requirements, policies, guidelines, rules, regulations applicable.
• Additional duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor or above.
